Our founder ' s deep love for some of the world's most exquisite and spiritually inspiring destinations, including India, Japan, and Fiji, has fueled our passion for creating sanctuaries that allow people to escape the chaos of everyday life and reconnect with themselves and the world around them. Inspired by these travels and a profound appreciation for nature, our founder embarked on a mission to craft resorts that immerse guests in the tranquility and beauty of the natural world.

With over three decades of experience, Damend has emerged as a visionary and trailblazer, setting new industry benchmarks and leaving an enduring mark on the industry. His leadership extends beyond boardrooms
into the very fabric of the industry itself, shaping the future of Fijian tourism.

Our founder's deep love for some of the world's most exquisite and spiritually inspiring destinations, including India, Japan, and Fiji, has fueled our passion for creating sanctuaries that allow people to escape. Damend's influence resonates on a broader scale as he led the Fiji Tourism Action Group (TAG), guiding the industry through challenging times and spearheading recovery efforts after significant events and natural disasters. His commitment to community service shines through his roles as the International President of Apex International, National President of Apex Clubs, and his contributions to TISI Sangam and The Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises & Development (FRIEND).

Yet, at the heart of Damend's unparalleled success lies the steadfast support of his family, including his wife Saroj Gounder and their children. Damend's achievements have garnered well-deserved recognition, with accolades such as the Excellence in Tourism award in 2001 and the prestigious Excellence in Tourism - Lifetime Achievement award in 2022. In every sense of the word, Damend is not just a business leader but a true inspiration, crafting a formidable business while touching lives and leaving an enduring legacy of leadership and excellence in both the industry and the community.
